Service to offer prayers for Gulf oil disaster

A special service of meditative Taize music, candlelight and quiet reflection in Bellevue will focus on prayers for individuals, creatures and ecosystems attempting to deal with the oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.

A special service of meditative Taize music, candlelight and quiet reflection in Bellevue will focus on prayers for individuals, creatures and ecosystems attempting to deal with the oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico.

The service will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 23 at First United Methodist Church, 1934 108th Ave. NE.

A discussion and a potluck supper at 6:30 p.m. will precede the service. The public is welcome. For more information, contact the church at 425-454-2059.
