Bellevue Massage School is now accepting students for its Massage Licensing Program, with classes to begin Sept. 8. The 541-hour program meets Washington state requirements to become a licensed massage practitioner.
The 29-week program is offered three times per year with classes in the morning and evening. Students will be trained on subjects including: Massage Theory and Practice, Clinical Practices, Anatomy and Physiology, Pathology, and Kinesiology.
Through a partnership with Bastyr University, students who have met academic prerequisites can participate in a summer massage intensive program designed to prepare them for state licensing. The school has had an affiliation with the university since 2008.
“Our curriculum is developed and delivered in a way that students deeply comprehend and ultimately become well-trained therapists with the confidence to succeed in this industry,” said school Director Dana Pellegrini, who created the connection with Bastyr.
