Weather advisory blows | City issues high-wind warning

The city of Bellevue has issued a weather warning for Thursday, cautioning strong winds could cause downed power lines and trees. The National Weather Service has a wind advisory in effect until 6 p.m. tonight, predicting south winds of 20-35 mph and gusts near 50 mph.

In case of a downed line or outage, Eastside residents are asked to call Puget Sound Energy at 1-888-225-5773.

A wind storm on Saturday, Oct. 25, reportedly knocked out power for some 100,000 PSE customers, knocking down trees, power lines and damaging several Eastside substations.
