Bellevue High School band sets fight song challenge

Attention college sports fans. The Bellevue High School Band will play your school's fight song at your home or local business as part of a fundraising campaign to buy new uniforms. As a twist, the band will play your school's fight song at a friend's house for some good-natured rivalry.

Attention college sports fans. The Bellevue High School Band will play your school’s fight song at your home or local business as part of a fundraising campaign to buy new uniforms. As a twist, the band will play your school’s fight song at a friend’s house for some good-natured rivalry.

The band is limiting school to the University of Washington, Washington State University, Oregon State University of the University of Oregon.

Performances will occur from 3-6 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, the week of the Apple Cup and the Civil War, at Bellevue addresses. Cost is $50. Only a limited number of performances are available. Those interested should contact Band Director Edd George at georgee@bsd405.org by Friday, Nov. 22.

Bellevue High School is the only high school in the district without formal uniforms and the school’s Marching Band wants to buy 170 marching band uniforms for performances at football games, parades, and other community events. Each uniform costs $350 and will last 10-15 years.

The band needs to raise $60,000 to help the it look as good as it sounds.
