Starting July 6, crews will begin demolishing concrete and steel expansion joints in the westbound I-90 lanes and the I-90 bicycle path. Crews are building two temporary bridges for bicyclists and pedestrians during construction. The bridges are built with scaffolding that sit on the floating bridge pontoons and are secured to the bridge and have chainlink fencing. Two massive cracked expansion joints will be removed and replaced and the road will reopen by July 20.
