Bellevue resident Dr. Patricia Feltin bid farewell to students, families and colleagues at Eton School on Bellevue-Redmond Road on June 6. Feltin, the school’s founder, is retiring after 34 years of service.

Feltin founded Eton School in 1978 with the hopes to educate the “whole child” and honor the diversity of each individual. Eton School, serving pre-K to 8th grade students, started with 75 enrolled students. Today, more than 300 students are enrolled at the institution. The school, located near Microsoft’s Redmond campus, is known for being a multi-culturally rich institution for students to grow.

A surprise farewell event was held for Feltin on June 6. During the party, each student presented Feltin with a flower of appreciation.

In November 2011, Dr. Russel Smith from Las Vegas was selected to replace Feltin as head of the school for the 2012-13 year.
