Breakfast for Champions: Sustainable business practices workshop on Thursday

A guest panel of sustainability experts will discuss “Integrating Sustainability into Your Business Planning” at a workshop Dec. 4.

The Breakfast for Champions Workshop is sponsored by the Master Builders Association of King and Snohomish Counties in conjunction with Sustainable September, a premiere GREEN business and community program located in and around East King County.

The networking breakfast will take place at the MBA Housing Center in Bellevue, from 7:30 a.m to 9:30 a.m. Tickets cost $45 per person.

Presenter Brenda Nunes, a certified sustainable building advisor, will examine environmental cases and local environmental issues including storm-water, energy issues, resource depletion and transportation.

Carolyn J. Hope, an urban planner and president of the Sustainable Development Task Force of Snohomish County, will touch on the social and economic case of sustainability in business planning.

The breakfast workshop also will include guest speaker Cheryl Isen, the president of Isen and Company – a strategic planning and marketing firm, who will share her knowledge of leverage and promotion of sustainable practices.
