The Cascade chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution will be celebrating its 50th anniversary Tuesday, Nov. 8 at the Bellevue Red Lion Inn.

Cascade Chapter DAR members volunteer many hours annually to the VA Puget Sound Hospital, Seattle; award chapter scholarship to a senior student on the Eastside; support the USO at Sea-Tac International Airport; support the ROTC with recognition awards; sponsor Constitution Week in September at the local libraries; sponsor and encourage 5th and 6th graders to participate in an annual history essay contest.
