Thirty Bellevue High School students, part of the Emerald City Chapter of National Charity League (NCL), have partnered with the Children’s Response Center (CRC) to spread awareness about center and what it offers to students at the school.
Located in downtown Bellevue, CRC offers support and prevention programs for domestic abuse, crisis intervention and legal and medical advocacy programs, among others.
“Bellevue has the highest number of victims referred to CRC in western Washington,” said Dominique Heijer, senior and Vice President of Philanthropy. “We really want the students to know where to go if they need help, and how CRC can help.”
Throughout the month of April, which is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, CRC members will be passing out business cards to encourage students to take advantage of CRC’s programs. The cards can be redeemed at Yogurtland for a 10 percent discount and at MOD Pizza for a free drink with purchase.
