A six-part series will address community and family issues and include resources for helping people to “just get along.” The series will begin May 4 and conclude on May 25 and will be offered at the Lake Hills Library.
The program is offered in conjunction with the City of Bellevue Mediation program.
Cross-Cultural Awareness: Viewing the World through Your Cultural Lens will be offered at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 4. The workshop will help people define their cultural lens and discuss with others how it helps shape their views and opinions.
Understanding within Families: Parent-Teen Mediation Part 1 will be offered at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 5. Part 2 of the program will be offered at 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 12. It will discuss parent-teen issues and strategies for resolving them.
Curious about Muslim Culture? will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 11. A husband and wife team, Neimeh Shalash and Mohammad Kaddoura, will share their experience as Muslims in America.
Understanding across Fences: Neighbors, Part 1 will be offered at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 18. Part 2 of the program will be offered at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 25. Cheryl Cohen and Andrew Kidde of the city of Bellevue Mediation program will address neighbor issues and strategies to resolve them.
