The Newport High School drama department will present “Legally Blonde: The Musical” for three 7:30 p.m. performances Thursday through Saturday.

Based on the 2001 movie and adapted to Broadway in 2007, the musical follows sorority sister Elle Woods as she enrolls in Harvard Law School. Though at first she only attends school to win back her ex-boyfriend, she discovers her own passion and competence for the law.

Doors open at 7 p.m. and admission is $8.

The Newport High School Performing Arts Center is located at 4333 Factoria Blvd SE in Bellevue.
