The Washington State Senate has confirmed Ted Baseler, of Bellevue, to the Washington State Board of Regents.
Baseler has been the president and chief executive officer of Ste. Michelle Wine Estates for over 20 years. He holds a bachelor’s from Washington State University and a master’s in journalism from Northwestern University.
Sen. Chris Marr, D-Spokane, spoke in support of Baseler’s reappointment.
“I had the pleasure of serving with him on the board,” Marr said. “He’s been involved in the Wine Market Council, the Washington Wine Institute and a number of other organizations. He is a major force in Washington’s preeminent viticulture industry.”
