This small shopping center was created to serve residents of the Northtowne community at the north end of Bellevue Way. Two station wagons, as well as other cars, grace the parking lot of Olsen’s Grocery in this image from the late ‘60s.

A Vandekamp Bakery was located inside the grocery store, a typical arrangement at this time. A hardware store, barber shop, and other small businesses completed the complex.

Over the years merchants have come and gone, but this small shopping center continues to serve its community.
