BCC ran into the perfect storm at the NWAACC volleyball championships Nov. 22 in Gresham, Ore.
That storm happened to be the undefeated Chemeketa Storm, who remained perfect on the year by knocking out the Bulldogs in the semi-finals and beating Walla Walla Community College in the finals to win the NWAACC title. Chemeketa ends the year with an unblemished 50-0 record.
Tournament MVP Chelsea Fosback led the Storm offense with 17 kills and 15 digs in the three games to one win over Walla Walla. Alisha Shigley had 13 kills and Tabbie Smith had 43 assists for Chemeketa.
Walla Walla finished the season with a 34-10 record.
BCC, meanwhile, finished with a 26-18 record on the year. Bellevue’s Savannah Feist was named to the All-Tournament Second Team.
