Powered by the first-place and state qualifying times of Anna Kimura, Anna Moody, CC Hagen and Brigid Mackey in the 200 medley relay (1:56.83) and 400 free relay (3:57.74), Interlake captured the team scoring title at the 2A West Central District III girls swim and dive tournament.
Mackey also swam automatic state qualifying times in the 200 free (2:02.67) and 100 butterfly (1:02.61) for the Saints. Moody did likewise in the 200 individual medley (2:22.87), as did Anna Kimura in the 100 butterfly (1:03.10) and 100 backstroke (1:05.35).
Hagen punched a state ticket in two individual events, the 100 free (55.84) and 100 breaststroke (1:13.18).
Marta Mueller, Cassidy McDermott, Pia Salgado and Andrea Price swam to a second place finish in the 200 free relay in a time of 1:49.02 and Price added a third place in the 50 free and sixth in the 100 butterfly.
Bellevue ended the 3A Sea-King meet in third place behind champion Mercer Island and Bainbridge, led by the state qualifying times of freshman Kim Williams in the 200 IM (2:03.18) and 100 breaststroke (1:04.99).
Newport ended the 4A Sea-King meet in second place, 68 points behind defending 4A state champion Skyline.
Lorea Gwo swam an automatic state qualifying time in the 50 free (24.48) to win a district championship. Gwo also swam a state time in the 100 butterfly in 58.16 to finish second.
Gwo teamed with Nina Dipboye, Monique Saysana and Sara Simpson to finish third in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:53.94, one of four automatic qualifying times in that event.
Maggie Pana earned an individual state spot in the 200 free, finishing second in 1:57.08 and also in the 500 free, finishing fourth with a time of 5:12.96.
It was Pana, Saysana, Burgess and Brooke Groesbeck on an automatic qualifying time (1:42.66) in the 200 free relay.
Sara Simpson (200 free), Shannon An (200 IM, 100 butterfly), Dipboye (200 IM, 100 breaststroke), Monique Saysana (50 free, 100 free), Melody Saysana (100 butterfly), Emily Waddell (50 free), Hattie Miller (50 free), Brooke Groesbeck (100 free), Cassie Burgess (100 free), Michelle Francois (500 free), Kiera Watson (500 free, 100 backstroke) and Ellen Peterson (100 backstroke) also swam for the Knights.
