Suspect convicted in Medina burglary

The suspect in an Oct. 11 home burglary in Medina was sentenced to 15½ years in prison July 15. Keith Blair was convicted of 13 charges, including nine residential burglary charges, attempted burglary, auto theft, theft of a firearm and trespassing in various jurisdictionns.

 

The suspect in an Oct. 11 home burglary in Medina was sentenced to 15½ years in prison July 15. Keith Blair was convicted of 13 charges, including nine residential burglary charges, attempted burglary, auto theft, theft of a firearm and trespassing in various jurisdictionns.

In the Medina incident, a suspect entered a home in the 2600 block of 79th Avenue Northeast while the resident was gone. The suspect accessed the home by prying open the front door with a pry bar.

Once inside, the suspect ransacked the home, removing jewelry, a laptop, and credit cards. The estimated value of items stolen was more than $15,000.

DNA evidence along with evidence from the city’s surveillance cameras was collected and ultimately lead to confirming the identity of the burglar.

Blair was arrested Dec. 21. Police said his crime spree lasted several months and occurred in various cities around Snohomish and King counties. He stole cash, jewelry, electronics, weapons, sporting equipment and even a car.
