It’s a busy weekend on I-405 as crews close several lanes and ramps in Bellevue for major highway construction. The weekend closures are weather dependent in order to pave and paint new lane stripes and may be rescheduled for the next available dry night.
Through Sunday, Sept. 27, crews may close up to two lanes on northbound I-405 nightly from I-90 to SE Eighth Street with lane closures scheduled at 8 p.m. and midnight. Crews may also close three lanes of southbound I-405 between Main Street and Coal Creek Parkway with lane closures scheduled for 8 p.m. and midnight. All lanes will reopen by 5 a.m. the following morning.
Crews also may close the off-ramp from northbound I-405 to SE Eighth Street from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m.
Today and Sunday, Sept. 27, crews may close the on-ramp from westbound and eastbound I-90 to northbound I-405 nightly. The eastbound on-ramp will close at 8 p.m. and the westbound on-ramp will close at 11 p.m. Both ramps will reopen at 5 a.m. each following morning.
Coming up next week, crews will also close the following lanes and ramps on I-405 in the Bellevue during the night and early morning hours from Sept. 28 – Oct. 1 for construction work:
Up to two lanes in each direction of I-405 from 112th Avenue SE to Main Street, with lane closures scheduled at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. All lanes will reopen at 5 a.m.
The ramps at the downtown Bellevue, I-90 and Coal Creek Parkway interchanges.
