Bellevue looking for final spot
Liberty took the regular season championship in 3A KingCo and dropped only a single conference game all year to earn the automatic spot to the 3A state boys soccer tournament. Bellevue earned the fifth seed to the league tournament with a 1-0 win over Mercer Island, preceded by a 3-2 win over Liberty, in the season’s final week.
The Wolverines will open with Mount Si, which won the only meeting between the two 4-1. That loser-out game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start at Mount Si.
Bellevue Christian will meet Mount Baker at Sammamish on Wednesday in an 8 p.m. start in the 1A tri-district tournament, hoping for one of six spots in the 1A state tournament.
