Bellevue seeking adult volunteers for Youth Link Board

The city of Bellevue is accepting applications through Monday, March 16 for adult volunteers to serve on the Bellevue Youth Link Board.

The city of Bellevue is accepting applications through Monday, March 16 for adult volunteers to serve on the Bellevue Youth Link Board.

The Youth Link Board is comprised of six adult Bellevue residents and six youth attending school within the Bellevue School District. Members are appointed by City Manager Brad Miyake and serve as an advisory board to the city manager, Bellevue City Council and Bellevue School Board. The board also involves youth in current community issues, utilizes youth ideas to address community concerns and creates new outlets for youth engagement.

Applicants must be available for evening meetings. The Youth Link Board meets on the second Wednesday of each month, 6- 8 p.m. at City Hall, 450 110th Ave. N.E. Terms are three years and members cannot serve more than two consecutive full three-year terms.

Interested residents may apply online or receive a Youth Link Board application by emailing hstephens@bellevuewa.gov or calling 425-452-2834. Applications may be handwritten, typed or computer-generated; a resume is not required, but a Washington state background check will be required.
