Flamenco show to benefit Bellevue’s Medic 1

An afternoon of flamenco music and dance, and the popular songs of the Gipsy Kings, will be the fundraiser this year by Somerset Women for Medic 1 . The event will be a 3 p.m. June 5 at the Highland Community Center, 14224 Bel-Red Road, Bellevue.

 

An afternoon of flamenco music and dance, and the popular songs of the Gipsy Kings, will be the fundraiser this year by Somerset Women for Medic 1 . The event will be a 3 p.m. June 5 at the Highland Community Center, 14224 Bel-Red Road, Bellevue.

The show features dancer, Arleen Hurtado, recently seen on American Idol, Live to Dance and the Ellen show with Shakira. Accompanying her is celebrated guitarist and Bellevue native, Benjamin Woods (“Arriba” CD sold at Costco last year).

Funds raised will help purchase special “MedKids” devices to transport infants and adolescents on Medic 1 vehicles. These devices will be available for viewing during intermission. Complimentary refreshments will be served.

Cost is a tax-deductible $38 per person and a check can be sent to Somerset Women for Medic 1, 4935 Highland Drive, Bellevue, WA 98006.

Somerset Women for Medic 1 is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit group that has been handling donations and contributing to Bellevue’s Medic 1 since 1974.
