Drivers, cyclists and pedestrians south of downtown Bellevue are facing traffic revisions related to a King County sewer improvement project.
Beginning Monday, June 20, a portion of Southeast Sixth Street off of 102nd Avenue Southeast will be temporarily closed to through traffic for the next nine months while King County utility crews upgrade sewer trunk lines along Southeast Third Street and 102nd Avenue Southeast in Bellevue that have been in service for nearly 45 years.
People are urged to use caution and follow detour signs. Flaggers will direct traffic during construction work hours, which will occur between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Additional information is also available on the project website or by calling the construction hotline at 206-296-4081.
