Alex Ballinger of Bellevue is one of 20 high school seniors named as a finalist in the Ignatian Leaders Scholarship at Gonzaga University for the 2008-2009 academic year.

The finalist scholarship – which was established to recognize leadership qualities, academic merit, and community service – is worth $10,000 over four years per student should the students choose to attend Gonzaga.
