Nighttime drivers planning to use eastbound State Route 520 should be prepared to take alternate routes across and around Lake Washington on Wednesday and Thursday nights, April 20 and 21.
Crews will close all lanes of eastbound SR 520 between Montlake Boulevard in Seattle and 92nd Avenue NE in Clyde Hill each night from 11:59 p.m. to 4:30 a.m.
During these closures, crews will test and adjust equipment in preparation for tolling of the SR 520 bridge.
Drivers are also reminded there is a flammable cargo restriction in place on Interstate 90 between Seattle and Mercer Island through 4 p.m., Thursday, April 21 for maintenance work on the fire suppression systems in the I-90 tunnels. That means on Wednesday night no flammable cargo can be transported eastbound across Lake Washington on either floating
bridge.
