Assessor, county councilwoman to host town halls on property valuations

King County Assessor Lloyd Hara and King County Council Vice Chairwoman Jane Hague will be in Bellevue and Kirkland next week for public meetings to educate residents about how property values are calculated and where their tax dollars go.

A public meeting will be held 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at the North Bellevue Community Center, 4063 148th Ave. N.E. Hara and staff will answer questions about the property valuation process, appeal and tax exemption programs.

Another meeting will be held 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 22 in the Peter Kirk Room at Kirkland City Hall, 123 Fifth Ave., Kirkland.
