Girls soccer
Interlake scored two goals in the final nine minutes to defeat Lake Washington 2-0. Jamiee Farrell and Emma Bergstrom both had goals for the Saints and Catie Getzendaner recorded her third shutout of the season.
Volleyball
Bellevue Christian used 10 kills from Meredith Lampe and nine more from Kellie Hartford to defeat Seattle Academy 3-0 (25-16, 25,-18, 25-11). Emily Stoppler had 15 digs and Lampe added nine more in the victory.
Interlake took down Evergreen in straight sets (25-16, 25-11, 25-11) behind 10 kills, five aces and five blocks from Jackie Nelson and nine digs from Lauren Davis.
Cross country
The Bellevue boys brought home the team scoring title at the Salt Creek Invitational on Saturday, outscoring second-place finisher Central Valley by 10 points.
John Fowler and Ryan Long brought home the top two spots for the Wolverines with teammate Spike Sievert finishing in fourth.
Interlake finished in fourth place and Sammamish ended the race in ninth on the boys side. Sam Giner led the Saints in third and Nick Martin finished as the top runner for the Totems in ninth.
For the girls, it was the Saints who ended the day in front with a team score over 90 points better than second-place Kingston.
Summer Hanson finished the varsity girls race in second place while Niki Waghani, Antoinette Tansley and Nadia Lucas ended in fourth, fifth and sixth respectively.
Bellevue came in third in the team scoring and it was Julia Ellings in 14th with the highest finish.
Bellevue Christian School will host its 6th annual BCS Viking Classic golf event on Monday, Sept. 26 at Glendale Golf and Country Club in Bellevue.
