Letter writer Gary McGavran got it all wrong, and so did President Obama.

Why should the United States have to pay for the damages one country inflicts on another, especially with money we do not have to spare. I think this country should stop babying Israel and make them responsible for damages they inflict, especially since Israel receives billions of dollars every year, not only from us but also other countries.

A lot more Palestinians have lost their lives in this never-ending conflict than did the Israelis. That alone tells the whole sad story.
