Interlake ended the 2A girls meet in third place behind Cheney and Sehome, powered by the seventh place finish of freshman Antoinette Tansley (18:37) and an eighth place finish from sophomore Niki Waghani (18:51).
Grace Hsieh (21:25), Annie Davis (21:15), Eleanor Tansley (21:00) and Nadia Lucas all finished in the top 100 for the Saints.The Reporter will continue to update this article as races are completed throughout the day.
The Saints finished with four top 100 finishers on the boys side, led by the 12th place of junior Sam Giner (16:01.7). Jay Taves (16:35.5) ran 30th, Jack Taylor (16:48.5) 45th and Ivan Leniski (17:03.4) 61st. Axl Alvarez, Colin Glenny and Graham Jordan rounded out the Interlake participants.
Nationally renowned runner Maddie Meyers of Northwest School ran away with the 1A girls title, finishing in 17:54.6. Teammate Hazel Carr came in second place.
The only local participant was Bellevue Chrisitian’s Bree Oldham, who ended her final cross country meet as a prep in 40th place with a time of 20:44.6.
Lakeside made it a sweep by finishing 27 points in front of Riverside in the team scoring.
It was King’s School senior Hap Emmons at the front of the 1A boys race as Lakeside won the team scoring 29 points in front of Colvile.
BCS junior and Emerald City League champion Daniel Nortz finished in 19th place with a time of 16:54.
