The 2nd Annual Soap for Hope toiletry donation program sponsored by AAA Washington and KOMO Newsradio is under way.

The drive targets people who travel and have many of the miniature soaps and shampoos stuffed in a bathroom drawer. Organizers are collecting shampoo, conditioner, lotions, soap, razors, toothpaste, shaving cream, deodorant, sample- or full-size.

Last year, AAA collected 30,000 donations in the first six weeks of the program. The program continues through the end of the year.

Items can be dropped off at the Bellevue AAA office, 12727 NE 20th St # 8 or at Fisher Plaza, (home of KOMO Newsradio) 140 4th Ave. N., Seattle.

Each AAA office has selected a local charity to donate the items they collect. The Bellevue office is supporting the YWCA Women’s Center.
