Bellevue-based City University of Seattle has launched an Executive Master of Business Administration in Global Leadership program. The program is the only such offering in the Northwest that has a fixed emphasis area in global leadership.

The accelerated 18-month program will be available via weekend intensives that are taught in combination with online courses. Prospective students must have at least seven years professional work experience before they will be admitted to the program.

CityU developed the E.M.B.A. in Global Leadership program after surveying employers from the United States, Europe, and China to determine what skills multinational organizations look for.

Classes begin in Seattle in the fall of 2008. Courses will be held on select weekends in downtown Seattle.
