The Honor Guard of VFW Post 2995 is looking for a few good people.

The organization provides ceremonial funeral honors for all active-duty members, veterans and retirees of all branches of the military.

Additionally, the Honor Guard supports a wide variety of base and community functions including changes of command, retirement ceremonies, community parades and other military honor functions.

The Honor Guard meets at 6 p.m. the first and third Wednesday of every month at the post, 4330 148th Ave. NE, Redmond. Training is held usually in addition to a short meeting. The post asks that applicants honor their contractual commitment.

Honor Guard members purchase their own ceremonial uniform. If the new member has difficulty with the purchase, special arrangements are made on a case to case basis.
