Boys basketball

Bellevue 86 Interlake 35

The Wolverines took care of crosstown Interlake 86-35 behind five players in double figures, including Gunter Klimes’ game high 16.

Dillan Foreman added 14 and Hunter Cikatz finished with 11 for Bellevue.

Brandon Galland scored nine to lead Interlake, which was outscored 25-3 in the second quarter.

Liberty 49 Sammamish 45

The Totems were unable to hold a halftime lead, falling 49-45 to Liberty in overtime.

Robert Ambartsumyan scored a game high 17 for Sammamish in the loss.

Girls basketball

Issaquah 53 Newport 43

The Knights were handed their first loss of the conference season, 53-43 to Issaquah despite 14 points from Chaira Victor and 13 more from Casey Schoenlein.

Bellevue 62 Interlake 28

The Wolverines got a game high 15 from Mandy Steward in the lopsided win over the Saints.

Cate Mueller scored 10 and Camille Sullivan added eight for Interlake in the loss.

Shelby Cansler and Dejah Rogers combined for 17 for the Wolverines.

Wrestling

Bellevue finished the Jack Reynolds Memorial wrestling tournament in sixth place in the 11 team field, as a pair of Wolverines won titles.

Nathan Smith took the championship with a pin in the finals at 120 pounds and defending state champion Christian Villani did likewise at 145.

John Mancuso was third at 160 and Alec Palander also earned a third place finish, wrestling at 220. Garrett Williams was fourth at 138 for Bellevue.
