Energy Transitions Group – Northwest will give a
presentation titled, “Wake Up Call: A discussion on energy transitions, economics, and the environment
from a peak oil perspective” at 7 p.m. March 10.
“Peak oil” is the peaking and subsequent decline of worldwide petroleum production. Many industry experts believe that a peak or plateau in global oil production is imminent.
The ETG-Northwest panelists will outline the broad parameters of the coming energy transition before concluding with a discussion of potential mitigation and transition strategies from multiple stakeholder perspectives.
ETG-Northwest is comprised of university researchers, local business leaders and entrepreneurs, and
concerned citizens.
The meeting is co-sponsored by Eastside Rail Now!, a citizens’ grassroots environmental and rail advocacy organization.
