16 year-old pedestrian struck by car near Interlake High School

A driver in a sedan struck the girl as she attempted to cross N.E. 24th St. in Bellevue

A 16 year-old female pedestrian attempting to cross N.E. 24th St. was struck by a passing sedan at around 7:50 p.m. on Tuesday evening.

The accident occurred in the 16100 block of N.E. 24th, which is located across from Interlake High School. The pedestrian was transported to Overlake Hospital with a non-life threatening injury to her left leg while the driver, a female in her 50s, was not injured.

It is unknown whether the pedestrian was a student at the school.
