Youth and adult volunteers are needed to help from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at Bellevue ‘s 24 – Hour Relay Food Challenge in the Bellevue Downtown Park.
To help meet the demand on our local food banks, there will be an all-community food drive, instead of the usual Relay event that is typically held the last weekend of June. The goal is to collect 24,000 pounds of food to be shared between Hopelink, Overlake Service League and World Impact Network.
Youth and adults are needed to help the day of the event. For more information call Teen Services at the city of Bellevue 425-452-2846 or Sherry Grindeland at 425-747-0810.
Volunteer forms may be found on the city of Bellevue website at http://bellevuewa.gov/24_hour_relay.htm and must be completed and submitted prior to the event.
