Connor Garnett and Luat Le won the top two singles matches of the day in straight sets for the Saints.
But it was the Islanders sweeping the doubles matches and also earning wins in the third and fourth singles slots to take the meet.
Skyline 1 Newport 6
Aman Manji was the only Spartan to pick up a win, taking the number one singles match in straight sets.
The Knights got wins from Kelvsin Yuchen, Alex Namba and Austin Gu and also swept the doubles matches behind David An and Derek Huang, Travis Kayanara and Uday Singh and Kevin Xu and Zach Lin.
Volleyball
Bellevue 3 Sammamish 0 (25-7, 25-20, 25-12)
Natalie Phee finished with 10 aces and Jessie Marvin added 12 kills and 10 digs for Bellevue in the straight set win over the crosstown Totems.
Julia Pettere had nine digs and Elise Berberoglu added seven more for the Wolverines.
Liberty 2 Interlake 3
The Saints rallied after losing the first game to top Liberty behind 33 digs and four aces from Kendall Davis and 12 kills and 17 digs from Carolyn Fordyce.
Julia Regalia added 15 assists for coach Melissa Brodsky’s squad.
