Dr. Sheryl Berman has been named Executive Director of Bellevue Community College’s Health Sciences, Education and Wellness Institute.
Berman, who earned a Masters degree in Microbiology and a Ph.D. in Immunology from Wayne State School of Medicine in Detroit, has taught for 25 years at all levels from high school to medical school.
Most recently, she chaired the Basic Sciences department and was Dean of Natural Health Sciences at Bastyr University in Kenmore.
BCC’s Health Science, Education and Wellness Institute comprises associate degree programs in seven fields: Diagnostic Ultrasound, Radiation Therapy, Radiologic Technology, Nursing, Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education and Fire Services, as well as certificate training programs in 10 fields: Alcohol & Drug Studies, Breast Ultrasound, Clinical Lab Assistant, Early Childhood Education, Early Childhood Special Education, Infant Toddler Care, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Nursing Assistant, Phlebotomy, Radiation Therapy.
