For the 16th year in a row, the Gunnar Nordstrom Gallery will offer new paintings by well-known western artist Thom Ross.
Ross is best known for his whimsical portrayal of events taken from the Wild West era. His paintings are bright, bold and refreshing in their style, yet accurate in their history.
Ross is recovering from his two year installation “Indians on the Beach” in San Francisco. The new outdoor installation this past September consisted of 120 life-sized painted sculptures placed in the sand on the shore of the Pacific Ocean depicting a 1902 photograph of Buffalo Bill Cody’s Wild West Show of “Indians on the Beach.”
Ross has recently and for the third year in a row been named by True West Magazine as the best living contemporary western painter in the country. All new paintings for this new exhibit are at the gallery’s new location in Bellevue at 800 Bellevue Way N.E., Suite 111.
