PSE to begin gas line relocation from 120th NE on Monday

Puget Sound Energy will begin work to relocate a gas line beneath 120th Avenue Northeast near where Northeast Fourth Street will be extended between Best Buy and Home Depot on Monday, causing lane closures for up to 10 working days.

Puget Sound Energy will begin work to relocate a gas line beneath 120th Avenue Northeast near where Northeast Fourth Street will be extended between Best Buy and Home Depot on Monday, causing lane closures for up to 10 working days.

The energy company will have crews working 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, with some work to between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Fridays or between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday. Construction will also periodically occur 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The city will begin extending Northeast Fourth from 116th to 124th Avenue on Monday, April 13, with most work to occur 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday, according to a city news release. Work may also occur between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturdays. Construction will also periodically occur 10 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The street extension is planned to open in the fall and relieve congestion at nearby intersections, according to the release.
