The Friends of the Newcastle Library is asking residents to donate gently used books, CDs and DVDs to the library. The donated items are used to raise money for special programs at the library.

The library also is in the midst of a book sale near the library’s entrance with everything marked at $1 each.

The Newcastle Library is located at 12901 Newcastle Way.
