Richard’s Run Bellevue back as YETI Run, fighting for same goal | Community recreation news

Opponents of cancer can help fight for the cure in Medina on September 28, with the YETI Run.

For the past two years, community members and supporters of the cause of eradicating cancer have gathered in Medina to raise money and share stories.

This year, they will be joined by a Pacific Northwest legend, of mythical proportions.

Richard’s Run is back under a new name, YETI (Youth Encouraged Through Inspiration) Run, and will take place Saturday, Sept. 28.

The run will once again go to support Seattle Children’s Hospital after the event raised more than $31,000 in 2012.

The 5K run and walk begins at 8:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Episcopal Church, 8398 NE 12th St. and on-site registration begins at 7 a.m.

Entry fees are $30 for an individual and $60 for a family in advance and five dollars more on the day of the event. Online registration is available at the event’s website.
