Please elect Lisa Wellman as senator in the 41st District. I met her in 2000when she was the CEO of Deep Canyon. She had just finished as vice presidentfor Apple’s creative markets and was in my CEO workshop.

Wow, was I impressed. She was working to raise money but all the funding haddried up in the dot bomb and she handled that brilliantly.

She was strategic, effective and compassionate. She was completelytransparent with employees and had a plan to ensure that no employee wouldbe left high and dry. That gave employees confidence to stay and help her. Inan era when employees were jumping ship as dot com companies crashed, sheretained her employees until they could wrap things up responsibly. It was themost impressive thing I saw in 25 years of management consulting.

I’ve watched Lisa since and have continued to be impressed with her. She hashelped craft smart, effective solutions for many of the state’s challenges. Shewill listen, learn, care and come up with brilliant solutions to our problems.What a blessing she will be in the Senate.
