GLY Construction adds new leadership team
GLY Construction, the 13th-largest private company in the state with $569 million in 2015 revenue, transitioned to a new leadership structure within its executive group, and added two new owners.
Ted Herb and Mark Kane were appointed president and chief operating officer respectively while Jim Karambelas continues as chief executive officer, as does Steve Peterson as Chief Financial Officer. Both Herb and Kane formerly held Executive Vice President positions.
“This is a thoughtful transition, one we’ve carefully planned over several years,” Karambelas said. “It’s extremely important to us to honor and preserve the legacy of the great builders and leaders who have guided the firm’s evolution since it first took root in Pacific Northwest soil almost 50 years ago.”
Continuing the legacy of ownership transition, Bryan Haakenson and Tim Campbell are promoted to principal and owners of the firm. Haakenson joined the firm in 2000 and provides leadership in a wide range of sensitive environments, from educational facilities to thriving senior living campuses, where projects are often fully occupied during construction.
Local Land surveying firm selected as one of best in nation
APS Survey & Mapping has been selected as one of Point of Beginning Magazines’ Top 100 companies for land surveying, mapping and geospatial space for 2016. The list was published in the August 2016 issue of POB. Geospatial companies were selected based on capabilities and revenue.
“We were stunned to discover little APS Survey & Mapping would be considered as one of the top 100 firms in the U.S. by a premier, professional magazine.” said Tyler Sweet, president. “Upon further consideration, we realized with the quality of our personnel, we better be in the top tier of companies; otherwise, we are letting them down.”
APS is a small, veteran owned business based in Bellevue, WA. Since 1999, APS has served the land surveying and mapping needs of the Northwest, including: boundary, topographic and hydrographic surveys, utility surveys, right-of-ways and land title surveys. APS currently has 12 employees, including two professional land surveyors.
Accounting firm promotes principals
Clark Nuber PS has promoted four new principals. Covering four specialties, the principals provide support across all industry groups. Shelly Archuleta, Joe Haberzetle, Jennifer Mace, and Christie Streit join the team of Clark Nuber principals.

Clark Nuber also promoted five senior managers, Victoria Kitts, Moses Man, Bryce Rassilyer, Kaman Shiu, and Mandy Statz.
