Bellevue prepares for 25th annual Fourth of July festivities

Bellevue residents looking for entertainment on the Fourth of July can join the thousands of attendees celebrating the nation's birthday and the Bellevue Family Fourth's 25th anniversary.

Bellevue residents looking for entertainment on the Fourth of July can join the thousands of attendees celebrating the nation’s birthday and the Bellevue Family Fourth’s 25th anniversary.

Some 60,000 Eastsiders are expected fill Downtown Park on Monday for the area’s largest Independence Day celebration. Attendees will be able to listen to live music, enjoy family entertainment, eat at food trucks, and watch awe-inspiring fireworks set to a rousing performance by the Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra.

Prior to that, festive dog-lovers will fill Ashwood Park to show their patriotism in a 4K walk.

Activities

9 a.m.: Aegis of Bellevue’s Fourth on the Fourth Dog Jog and Walk.

2 p.m.: The Bellevue Parks Family Fun Zone opens with ticketed inflatable rides, jugglers, mascots and more.

3:45 p.m.: The Dimestore Prophets (Feel good music)

5:30 p.m.: Tony Bridges Band (Country)

7:15 p.m.: Sway (Cover band featuring retro rock and today’s hits)

8:55 p.m.: The National Anthem performed by the Interlake High School Chorus

9:25 p.m.: The Bellevue Youth Symphony takes the stage under the direction of Dr. Teresa Metzger Howe to present a special indepence day performance

Fireworks

10:05 p.m.: A special fireworks show synchronized to a live performance by the Bellevye Youth Symphony Orchestra begins

10:30 p.m.: The Bellevue Youth Symphony Orchestra’s post-fireworks performance begins
