Coast Hotels renames Bellevue hotel
Coast Hotels USA announced today the new name of its refreshed Bellevue property, now called Hotel 116, located at 625 116th Ave NE. Formerly known as Coast Bellevue, the property is currently undergoing a $2 million transformation complete with new exterior signage, improvements to the hotel’s exterior and renovated bathrooms. The 176-room property celebrates this renovation with a fresh experience for guests when staying on the Eastside.
The neighborhood around 116th Ave NE is a new growth area for Bellevue, with recent store openings such as Chick-fil-A and REI. Additional renovations to the property include new guestroom furnishings, a refreshed poolside area and new landscaping around the property. Seattle-based GGLO designed the full renovation of the hotel and Lynden-based contractor Elements Hospitality handled the renovation construction.
Hotel 116 is directly across 405 from Meydenbauer Center, the downtown core of Bellevue and Overlake Hospital, making it a perfect option for meeting planners and business travelers. The property is also in close proximity to the upscale Shops at The Bravern, as well as The Bellevue Collection, restaurants and nightlife. Chipotle donating proceeds to Friends of Trees on Oct. 19
Chipotle Mexican Grill has teamed up with Friends of Trees, a nonprofit that has planted half a million trees in Oregon, Vancouver and Washington. On Oct. 19, from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., all Washington Chipotle restaurants will donate 50 percent of their sales to Friends of Trees.
Customers simply need to present a fundraiser flyer (printed or on their phone) or mention Friends of Trees to the cashier before payment.
HNA Holdings buys The Golf Club at Newcastle
HNA Holdings Group agreed to purchase Oki Golf’s 8 premier properties for $137 million. As a component of the property sale, Oki Golf Management, LLC will be retained to manage daily operations for each course in its portfolio.
“While we have been approached several times regarding acquisition, this is the first time, we felt that the vision and opportunity being presented was a strong fit and a natural next step for the evolution of the Oki brand,” said Scott Oki, Founder of Oki Golf.
Under Oki Golf management, popular programs such as the Oki Golf Players Card will continue along with the service and maintenance standards that have made Oki Golf the premier golf course proprietor in the Seattle area.

The eight golf courses are: The Golf Club at Newcastle, Washington National Golf Club, The Golf Club at Redmond Ridge, Trophy Lake Golf & Casting, Harbour Pointe Golf Club, The Golf Club at Hawks Prairie, The Plateau Club, and Indian Summer Golf & Country Club. The 1,880 acres of property are home to 180 holes, complete with clubhouses and other amenities.
