Litzow pledges to ensure state invests in early childhood education | Letter

As a local high schooler who will be heading off to college soon, I know that the high-quality preschool education I received as a child was key in giving me the cognitive and emotional foundation I needed to succeed both academically and socially.

As a student ambassador for Save the Children Action Network, I want more kids in Washington to have the same opportunities to learn that I had, and Steve Litzow has a plan to make sure they will get it.

All kids are born ready to learn, but far too many of Washington’s children do not have access to the early learning opportunities needed to get them ready for school and their futures.

Fortunately, state Sen. Steve Litzow has pledged to work hard to make sure the state invests in high-quality early childhood education if he is re-elected.

I know he will advocate for kids like me, as well as our entire community. Please join me in voting for Steve Litzow on Nov. 8. Kids in Washington deserve the chance to thrive — so let’s give it to them.
