Closet confusion: A woman was in her home on the 9600 block of Evergreen Dr. when she heard a noise in her bedroom. She found the suspect in her closet. He said that the victim had invited her in, but quickly left the scene before police could locate him.

Parking lot pervert: A female Bellevue Square employee was approached by a man in his car. After asking her questions, he pointed to his lap, where the victim saw his unzipped pants and exposed genitals. She immediately walked away and notified security.

May 24

On the docks: A city employee found a woman passed out on the docks of Larsen Lake around 2 p.m., near where she had been contacted by police the day prior. She had an empty gallon of wine near her and was still wearing the hospital wristband from her previous interaction with police. The Fire Department transported her to Overlake Hospital Medical Center.

Tire switcheroo: An employee at Barrier Audi called police and reported a man attempting to steal tires off of one of the dealership’s vehicles. Officers detained the subject on the railroad tracks. He had stolen one tire and had the lugnuts for the others, and was apparently planning to replace his car’s worn out tires.

May 25

Window-breaking boyfriend: A woman called police reporting that a man had broken the windows on her SUV parked on the 1500 block of 145th Pl. SE and fled. Officers arriving at the scene noticed a man dragging an unconscious female on the sidewalk across the street. The man told police that he was trying to get his girlfriend home because she was drunk. She was transported to Overlake Medical Center, where she became uncooperative and denied being a victim. He was identified as the man who broke the SUV’s windows and was arrested.

May 26

Skateboarder skuffle: Callers reported a fight at Downtown Park, and upon arrival, found a bloodied victim with head wounds. He said he had been assaulted by several people who also stole his skateboard.

May 27

Lost and disoriented: A woman wandered into the Evergreen Courts apartments, confused and disoriented. After telling staff that her husband used to own the building, she began screaming about murders. She had calmed down by the time officers arrived at the scene, but shortly after, she walked into a nearby medical office, stole three purses and left hers behind. Officers located her walking away with the purses in hand and convinced her to go to the hospital.

Granny getaway car: Rite Aid employees recognized a group of people who had recently shoplifted from the Rite Aid on Mercer Island. The group was recognizable due to their getaway car’s license plate: “GGRANNY”. The group bolted, but were tracked down by Bellevue Police and arrested.

May 28

Strange sweeper: A man called police to report that his ex-roommate broke into his house on Northeast 29th Street and was in the living room. Officers arrived and located suspect in the kitchen sweeping the floor. He was arrested.
