Employers may sometimes wonder how their businesses will fare during major transportation projects such as replacing the SR 520 Bridge, widening Interstate 405 or building the future East Link light rail line.

The city of Bellevue is surveying employers to learn from them which transportation services and commute programs would be most effective in maintaining business continuity in a range of circumstances.

The online survey takes about 10 minutes to fill out. Employers’ participation will allow Bellevue to tailor commute services and programs to meet business needs. Survey responses will be accepted through Wednesday, Aug. 18.

For many years, the city’s Transportation Demand Management (TDM) group has partnered with King County Metro and community organizations such as the Bellevue Downtown Association to provide transportation assistance to large and small businesses.

TDM offerings have included marketing and educational materials for employees; commute program and telework consultations; and on-site ride-matching events for potential carpool or vanpool riders.

Results of the online survey also will be used to help create a citywide TDM strategic plan.
