King County Metro Transit is bringing “In Motion” back to downtown Bellevue. The program is aimed at increasing the use of transit, carpooling, bicycling and walking in the downtown area by providing information and incentives to residents willing to take a pledge.
The effort is a joint project with Metro, the city of Bellevue and the Bellevue Downtown Association to provide downtown residents with information on driving less to save money, protect the environment, get healthy, and earn rewards.
Key components of the 10-week program include an informational mailing with a neighborhood map, a Metro Free Ride ticket, a Zipcar offer for participants, and details on how to earn a Bellevue Collection gift card.
People can earn In Motion rewards just by committing to eliminate two drive-alone trips a week from your regular routine.
The program began taking registrations the week of June 9, and all the details can be found at the In Motion Website at www.metrokc.gov/inmotion.
