PONCHO’s Nouveau Glam event at the Seattle Westin on April 12 raised more than $700,000, $151,000 of which will go to arts education in Bellevue and in Seattle.

The funding will go towards music, theater and dance classes and other various art programs for kids who may not otherwise have the opportunity or exposure to the arts.

The 46th annual gala attracted 500 patrons who were interviewed and photographed by Team Photogenic as they walked the red carpet on their way to the black tie event.

People bid on items during three silent auctions and one live auction.

The fun and festivities carried on into the evening with signature cocktails complimented by a gourmet meal and live after-party with entertainment and dancing.

“This year, with the theme Nouveau Glam, we wanted to change the feel of PONCHO and reach out to a younger audience,” explained Rose Dennis, chair of the gala. “The decor chair did an amazing job.”
