Larry Brickman’s recent letter about the president shows just how out of touch with reality he is. Did he, or anyone else complaining about Obama’s salute, make the same criticism of GWB when he saluted with a dog in his hands?

Rather than try to make an issue out of a trivial matter, why doesn’t he and the rest of the fake patriotism conservatives focus on fixing real issues in the world like lack of education, quality heath care or the crumbling middle class.

The world needs love and compassion, not division and political posturing.
